Hurst Farm Growing the Future Partnership
Friends of Hurst Farm – a local community group working with partners to create meaningful opportunities for residents and families, to ensure that Hurst Farm is a place where the community thrives. For many years Friends of Hurst Farm has been actively working on behalf of the community to create financial sustainability through running viable social enterprises and organising events at Hurst Farm.
Hurst Farm Regeneration Ltd – A community benefit society owned and operated by local people. It trades and delivers as Hurst Farm Wild Works and aims to care for the landscape and create financial sustainability through the delivery of viable social enterprises on Hurst Farm. A volunteer programme is an integral part of that vision, encouraging residents to care for and value the area through volunteering and training.
Derbyshire Dales District Council – Derbyshire Dales District Council as the local council have led projects to improve the standard of housing on the estate over recent years. As an intrinsic part of the successful bid to the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government, they secured grant funding to create a masterplan for the future of the community. The Council has also made additional contributions from its own reserves and ongoing contributions to current projects.
Derbyshire Dales CVS – Derbyshire Dales CVS exists to promote strong, sustainable and healthy communities through voluntary and community action. It does this by supporting voluntary and community groups in the Derbyshire Dales.
Platform Housing Group – Platform Housing Group owns and manages 60% of the houses at Hurst Farm. They also received a grant from the Government’s Estate Regeneration Fund to support the purchasing of specialist consultancy services and surveys to support the development of the master plan for the area. They continue to support the project with ongoing donations.
